What to include in a daily inspection
Keep it short enough that drivers actually do it. Focus on safety-critical checks first, then add items that match your operation.
- Safety-critical: tires, brakes, lights, mirrors, windshield, horn, steering.
- Fluids + leaks: oil, coolant, washer fluid, visible leaks.
- Equipment: cones, first aid, fire extinguisher, straps, PPE.
- Damage: dents, broken lenses, cracked glass.
